It’s never too early to start thinking about the upcoming elections!

This year is another chance to put labor champions in the legislature – lawmakers who will vote to protect public services, fund our next round of contracts, and enact needed reforms to collective bargaining laws. Election season is the time when politicians remember that they need us more than we need them, so it’s vital that WPEA members engage with candidates.

We’re recruiting for WPEA’s Political Action Committee, the group of members who will interview candidates, raise the issues that matter to public employees, and make endorsement recommendations. It’s a chance to build relationships with the next generation of lawmakers, and to hold those in office accountable.
