POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE

The PAC serves to connect members and candidates, not to operate large political campaigns.

What the PAC Does

The PAC inserts WPEA members into the political process by connecting with legislators, interviewing candidates, forming endorsement recommendations, and supporting pro-labor legislation.

How Endorsements Work

After interviews and member input, endorsement recommendations are discussed and decided on by the PAC participants. Endorsed candidates share our values and support public employees.

How Interviews Are Conducted

Candidates are invited to discuss issues important to public employees. Interviews are nonpartisan and focused on candidate priorities. Candidates are nominated by WPEA members, PAC participants, and staff.

Why Member Participation Matters

Member stories help build relationships with elected officials and shape their understanding of the world around them. Personal conversations matter because they influence how people understand issues and make decisions.
