Your Voice Matters: Join the March 13 Organizing Meeting

Thank You for Attending!

Thank you to everyone who joined last week’s union organizing meeting! Your dedication to our cause is inspiring. As we move through critical bargaining and legislative cycles, it’s more important than ever to unite and strengthen our union through outreach and engagement.

We Must Close the Membership Gap

Currently, over 50% of WPEA’s bargaining unit members are active members who have signed their membership cards. However, this means nearly 50% of your coworkers remain non-members—part of the bargaining unit but not yet union members. This is a gap we can and must close.

If you’ve been following UNITY meetings or reading our newsletter, you know how important this moment is. We must build power now to protect our rights and make our voices heard. Last week, a group of stewards and member leaders agreed that immediate action is needed. We need YOU to help lead the charge.

The Next Opportunity to Act

✅ Talk to Your Coworkers: Encourage them to attend UNITY meetings and engage in the union. Building relationships and community is key—we are always stronger together.

✅ Join the March 13th Organizing Meeting (6 PM via Zoom): This meeting will focus on local actions to empower our workplaces. Bring your ideas, brainstorm strategies, and plan ways to increase union activity at your site.
