I was very impressed with the turnout at tonight’s board meeting. We could’ve used an overflow room to accommodate the crowd. Congratulations on stuffing that room with bodies! It was hard to hear at times, but that seemed intentional. I think it was unacceptable that there were no microphones available. It’s almost as if they didn’t want the public to actually hear them.

I knew AFSCME members would be there to join WPEA in standing up to the board, but I was not expecting a Poet Laureate or a member of Public School Employees of Washington/SEIU 1948 to speak so beautifully. I wish I’d taken video!

I had a great visit with Bonnie at Cascade Park earlier today and I look forward to seeing the downtown Vancouver and Three Creeks branches tomorrow.
