Final push to fund our contracts

We need your help.

The legislature is finalizing the budget, and that means we are in the final stretch to secure funding for our contracts. We negotiated them. We ratified them. Now it’s time to make sure they get funded — and stewards like you are the key to making that happen.

Here’s what we need:

Host a quick member meeting. Even a short conversation during a break or at shift change can make a big difference. Our goal is to get as many members as possible to take action by April 19 — calling, emailing, and sharing why this matters.

Remind members that numbers talk loudest. The more voices our legislators hear — calm, professional, and personal — the stronger our case. Every single call or email helps create the urgency needed to win this.

Share the link. Check with coworkers, did they get the call to action email?

Everything you need — talking points, printable flyers, desk drops, and the action plan — is here: Contract Funding Campaign

Need help putting together a quick meeting or sending out an invite to your group? Just reach out to solidarity@wpea.org — we’ve got your back.

We’ll follow up with all HE, GG, and Highline members with two more emails and a reminder text before April 19 to help keep momentum going. But right now, please start spreading the word — and thank you for being the leaders our union needs.

In Solidarity,

WPEA
