After years of performing work beyond their classification, an Olympic College member successfully secured a position reallocation through the contractual review process. Despite multiple unsuccessful requests for management to reevaluate the position, the member worked with their union representative to submit a formal reallocation request under the collective bargaining agreement, supported by detailed documentation of their duties and workload.

Following a comprehensive review, the position was reallocated from Program Manager A (Range 48) to Program Specialist 4 (Range 56), with the change made retroactive to the date the request was filed. This is a significant victory that demonstrates how the contract can help ensure members are properly classified and fairly compensated for the work they perform.
