It was great to spend May Day in Vancouver with members from FVRL, as well as a bunch of other union members and community supporters. The joint AFSCME/WPEA crew gathered 48 postcards for the “Build a Better Board” campaign and handed out tons of zines with information about the FVRL board and the campaign.
It was a beautiful evening full of good conversation and solidarity! It was especially great to see members from the two library unions working seamlessly together. Thanks to Octavia, Kayelin, Carmen, Mary, and Jake, plus Monica and Jamie from the AFSCME crew, for making it such a fun and productive May Day.
