WPEA members at Highline College gathered last week for a summer BBQ—and the turnout was fantastic. Members connected over burgers, hot dogs, and potluck sides, building on the momentum from the recent picket line and the Thunderword article highlighting the union’s fight for fair pay.
Stewards helped verify members on Discord, and several new members joined our private online network. With stronger communication and growing energy, Highline members are showing what’s possible when we organize together.
These casual gatherings are about more than food—they’re about building the connections and infrastructure we need to win.
