Thursday 5/21 we had bargaining again for the union’s Demand to Bargain regarding hours changes. Unfortunately today did not go the way that we would have preferred. Management remains steadfast in their prior proposal of hours changes taking place on June 1st and seems unreasonably committed to NOT working with the union on our proposal to lessen impacts and restore schedule flexibility to staff, some of the items included were reasonable schedule accommodations and pushing the hours change date back to August or September.

At this time, WPEA leadership will consult with legal counsel on our next steps, we intend to bargain for a full day next Thursday, so please wear your union blues in support of bargaining staff!
