The members of the University of Washington Library Union, represented by SEIU 925, have been negotiating with the University of Washington since October of last year, and their contract expired four months ago. Despite the valuable work that employees of the library and press perform every day, the University of Washington has stalled negotiations, and workers’ salaries haven’t kept up with the high cost of living in Seattle.

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

WPEA stands in solidarity with the UWLU, and is sending a letter to UW leadership calling for a fair contract for these fellow higher ed workers.
