We had a joint Pies and Postcards/Holiday Potluck at TCC yesterday where we picked up 39 postcards and one new member card, bringing us back to 100% membership of full-time folks.

Everyone went all out with crab, salmon, hamburgers, wagyu steaks, collard greens and more! It was a party and all I had to do was bring pies.

The bad news is I could’ve gotten many more postcards, but I ran out! My fault. My fault. I underestimated the turn out. The facilities VP allowed the night crew to come in for the afternoon party, so we had more people than I expected. I’ll be heading back to get the rest soon!

These actions may feel small, but they add up. When legislators receive stacks of postcards from WPEA members, it sends a clear message that we are paying attention and expecting results.

If you were not able to attend and still want to fill out a postcard, you have not missed your chance. We are doing a second printing now. Reach out to your steward team at tacomaleadershipteam@wpea.org and they will help get you connected.

Thanks again for showing up, speaking out, and taking collective action together.
