Our GG bargaining team has submitted a full proposal package to OFM, pushing for meaningful economic gains. A key disagreement has emerged around R&R days: OFM considers them economic—but we don’t. These days weren’t costed in the last ratified contract, and they function as non-economic time-off benefits. Classifying them as economic could limit our ability to negotiate real raises and other improvements.
We’ve asked OFM to clarify this and other budget-related issues. Their response is expected at our next bargaining session next week.
Member support will be key—sites are ready for pickets and sickouts. We had over a dozen observers, and we need more. Actions showingmember dissatisfaction is vital. Send pictures and video to solidarity@wpea.org and we’ll deliver the message to College leadership and OFM.
