Before the reopening of the 4th and 5th floor restrooms at FVRL (proposed implementation is January 21st), I would like to address any questions or concerns you may have, which I can then discuss with HR. Please review the document folder titled “25-FV-001” through the link below (snip of document structure is also shown below), which contains the demand to bargain I filed, along with the notice from Molly located on pages 2 and 3. Additionally, Andrea’s response is included, stating, “The guards and non-WPEA employees are responsible for locking/unlocking restrooms and monitoring them throughout the day.” However, I realize that the restroom procedure specifies that staff (without clarifying which staff members) are responsible for monitoring the bathrooms. This may lead to confusion or hesitation, particularly for employees who have not had experience with restrooms being open on their assigned floors.

Examples of questions I will ask FVRL:

  • 1. How long is considered too long for a patron to be in the restroom?
  • 2. What was the original reasoning for closing these floors, and what criteria is management using to justify their closure once again?

Please provide your input via document titled #2 or through emailing me at Ashley@wpe.org as it will be valuable in ensuring we address any potential issues and ensure clarity regarding the procedures.
