On January 14^th, Clark College organized a “Pies and Postcards” Event at the main campus and the CCW campus. The event was for anyone willing to fill out a postcard to their legislative representative in support of funding our contract.

With a belly full of pizza (it counts!) and pies, there was approximately 62 postcards filled out to send to Legislative representatives.

There may even be more coming in as more departments who were interested but couldn’t make the event wanted to fill one out. Each postcard represents a human hand reminding your representative who you are and what you support. Not only were there WPEA members sending personal messages, but Faculty and Students also showed support for the funding of our contract.

We are extremely thankful for the hard work of our Shop Steward Team at Clark College who put so much time and effort into making the event a success.

For everyone who was able to attend, we are extremely thankful for your attendance. These events show the strength of our collective effort to make our workplace and state a better place.
