WPEA has filed a Demand to Bargain over the campus move and has already met with management multiple times.

Right now, management’s position is that this move has no impact on employees.

Meanwhile, WPEA staff—including union legend Deb Montez (you may remember her from such hits as “preventing employees from being asked to carry literal backpacks of cash to the bank”)—are sitting across the table… getting very little in the way of information.

Here’s the reality:

Building moves always have impacts. But if the Employer doesn’t acknowledge them—and we don’t have member input to point to—those impacts don’t get addressed.

We need you in this conversation.

Not sure what an “impact” really is? That’s okay. It can be hard to predict the future or know what matters. Reach out anyway—WPEA staff can help workshop potential concerns and figure out what to raise at the bargaining table.

If you’ve experienced changes (workspace, commute, safety, workflow, anything), or even just have questions:

Email deb@wpea.org or the contacts below to share what’s going on or learn how to get involved.
